Support Jack Healey!

August 14, 2015

Jack Healey is the former director of Amnesty International and has always been an outspoken human rights activist and supporter. He’s the one that encouraged me to create a poster of Aung San Suu Kyi to bring awareness to the human rights cause in Burma. Jack was friends with Joe Strummer and is friends with Antonino D’Ambrosio whom I worked with on “Let Fury Have the Hour.” He’s a great man with a lifetime record of fighting oppression and I’m happy to support him help get his memoir completed. Please support Jack and contribute to his campaign. Thanks for caring. – Shepard

With only 21 days to go, there are still many rewards available for varying pledge amounts. For $100 or more, in addition to a signed and personally inscribed copy of Jack’s memoir, you will also receive a signed poster I designed for Jack (as seen below). Eight years in the making, Jack’s memoir covers his interactions with civil and human rights leaders such as Fannie Lou Hamer, Martin Luther King, Jr., Dick Gregory, and Aung San Suu Kyi. His passion for people expressed itself through a unique mix of activism and rock n’ roll, working with musicians such as Sting, Peter Gabriel, Bono, and others, to most effectively spread awareness and inspire direct action. More than 60 photos have been collected and displayed alongside Jack’s unique anecdotal history of human rights activism, sure to inspire future generations.
