On January 16, 2010, The Art of Elysium celebrated twelve years of inspiring artists and inspiring children at “Heaven”, the annual black tie Gala.  In connection with this event, works of art were donated for auction by artists, dealers and private collectors.  “Pieces of Heaven” is a continuation of this annual celebration with 100% of the proceeds benefitting The Art of Elysium.

Some of the featured artists this year include Julie Blackmon, Russell Young, Herb Ritts, Ed Moses, Elijah Wood, Scott Caan, Miya Ando, Hiroshi Watanabe, Alex Prager, Alison Van Pelt, Henry Diltz, Mona Khun, Todd Hido, Lisa Solberg and Shepard Fairey.

“The Pieces of Heaven auction serves as an event where our artists can support our programs through their art,” states Jennifer Howell, Founder.  “What makes The Art of Elysium unique is the full-circle concept of artists inspiring children and then being inspired by the children to create at a more meaningful level,” elaborated Howell.
